Light up Pirate Chest DIY Prop

 

Here's how to add to your pirate-themed props. I found a great old chest at a thrift store and had to make it work for the theme. However, any chest will do, as it's the lights that really make it work. The gold decorations are made of plastic, and some goodwill brass was leftover from their Red Wedding themed wedding. The lights can be found at Walmart or Amazon for more money. This year, the chest will be placed somewhere by the pool, and I am is open to suggestions on where to put it. Below I've included a few pictures from our 2019 Pirate-themed party, so many guests showed up with great costumes. Although the pool was late getting finished, and it was muddy and rainy, our friends went all out with their costumes.
